AXIT Assessment Technology – What It Is and How It Helps
At Allcare Colac, we use the AxIT system, a modern assessment tool that helps us more accurately measure strength, balance, and movement. It gives us clear, objective information about how your body is performing, rather than relying only on observation or how something feels on the day.
The AxIT system combines a force plate (which measures how much force you can produce through the ground) and a hand-held strength testing device (Push-IT dynamometer). Together, they allow us to assess movement and strength in a safe, controlled, and easy-to-understand way.
How does AxIT work?
When you push, pull, stand, or move during an assessment, the AxIT system measures how much force your body produces and how evenly it is distributed. This information is displayed instantly using simple graphs and visuals, making it easy for both clinicians and patients to understand the results.
Because the results are objective and repeatable, we can:
- See exactly where weaknesses or imbalances exist
- Track progress over time
- Quickly reassess after treatment to monitor progress
- Adjust your rehabilitation or training plan with confidence
What can AxIT be used for?
AxIT can assist with:
- Injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Strength testing
- Balance testing and assessing risk of falls
- Return-to-sport or return-to-work decision making
