Work Cover Fees Policy and Conditions
If you have been injured at work and have gone through the correct procedures to make a workcover claim with your employer you may be entitled to compensation payments for your physiotherapy treatment. To have accounts bulk billed and sent directly to your employer we must first have a workcover claim number and/or written confirmation from the employer that the claim has been accepted. If this information can not be provided you will be required to pay for the cost of your treatment on the day of the consultation and seek reimbursement from your employer. It is your responsibility to also make sure that the employer is aware that you have been referred to this clinic for treatment by your doctor or that you have sought treatment here yourself.
The physiotherapist will be required to submit a Treatment Notification Plan to the employer outlining the condition treated and the amount and duration of treatment expected to assist in treating and rehabilitating your injury. It is important that you take an active role in the management of your injury and also take responsibility for attendance at scheduled appointments. If for some reason you are unable to attend your appointment the clinic requires 24 Hours notice for cancellation. This will allow our staff adequate time to offer your appointment space to another client as we often have a waiting list. Failure to attend your appointment or to give sufficient notice to allow for your appointment to be used by another client will result in a$50.00 fee being charged. It is not possible to charge this fee to the employer or workcover and it will be your responsibility to pay this fee prior to making a new appointment.
