Position Title: Full Time – Allied Health Assistant

Overview of Position:

As an Allied Health Assistant, you have the incredible opportunity to be a vital part of the Corio Bay Sports Treatment Clinic team. Your role will revolve around providing exceptional care to our clients while working collaboratively with our physiotherapists to implement tailored treatment programs. These programs may involve clinic-based sessions, gym workouts, pool therapy, and community-based activities, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling work environment.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Client Management
– Receive comprehensive training from our experienced physiotherapists to understand your role in delivering top-notch care.
– Provide appropriate treatments to clients.
– Exceed client expectations by fostering a compassionate and empathetic approach.
– Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
– Promote preventive maintenance care and early intervention strategies.
– Keep treatment rooms organized and tidy.
– Thoroughly document all assessments and treatments, aiming to complete them on the day of treatment.
– Strive to connect with clients on a personal level, demonstrating empathy and understanding while respecting boundaries.
– Contribute to Corio Bay Sports Treatment Clinic’s social media presence by collaborating with our team to create engaging content.
– Actively seek referral opportunities, both to our clinic and other healthcare professionals in our network.

Performance Management:

– Actively seek ways to improve your work environment and relationships with your teammates.
– Contribute to the learning and development of other team members.
– Assist with reception tasks as needed, including appointment scheduling in Cliniko.


– Adhere to documented and undocumented clinic policies and procedures.
– Solicit feedback from clients regarding the quality of service and care provided.


– Commit to ongoing business improvement by suggesting innovative ideas and providing training recommendations.
– Monitor your performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
– Actively participate in team and individual meetings.


– Be a courteous ambassador for our clinic.
– Contribute to the positive and healthy culture of Corio Bay Sports Treatment Clinic.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

– Engage in activities to enhance and maintain your professional and clinical knowledge and skills at a high standard.
– Stay up-to-date with current best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

(These are desirable but not essential)

– Cert 3 or 4 as an Allied Health Assistant or willingness to do an on the job trineeshipthrough the Gordon. 

– Personal Trainer or Fitness Leader

– Remdial Masseur

– Disability Support Worker 

– Physiotherapy Student
