TAC Fees Policy and Conditions
If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident and have gone through the correct procedures to make a TAC claim you may be entitled to compensation payments for your physiotherapy treatment.
Check you have completed all the steps on the TAC website: https://www.tac.vic.gov.au
To have accounts bulk billed and sent directly to the TAC we must first have a TAC claim number and/or written confirmation from the TAC that the claim has been accepted.
If your accident was after the 14th of Feb 2018, you no longer need to reach a reach a medical excess. If your accident was before this you will need to pay the medical excess, prior to TAC paying for your treatment. This excess is waived if you were admitted to hospital for at least one night.
If this information can not be provided you will be required to pay for the cost of your treatment on the day of the consultation and seek reimbursement from the TAC.
The physiotherapist will develop a plan with you outlining the condition treated and the amount and duration of treatment expected to assist in treating and rehabilitating your injury. It is important that you take an active role in the management of your injury and also take responsibility for attendance at scheduled appointments. If for some reason you are unable to attend your appointment the clinic requires 24 Hours notice for cancellation. This will allow our staff adequate time to offer your appointment space to another client as we often have a waiting list. Failure to attend your appointment or to give sufficient notice to allow for your appointment to be used by another client will result in a $25.00 fee being charged. It is not possible to charge this fee to the TAC and it will be your responsibility to pay this fee prior to making a new appointment.
